The largest room in the castle, modeled after the Singer's Hall at Wartburg Castle and decorated with frescoes from the Parzival saga — Ludwig's homage to Wagner.
Ludwig's bedroom features Neo-Gothic carvings crafted over 4 years by 14 artisans. The artificial cave leading to the study is a unique theatrical touch.
The iron pedestrian bridge over the Pöllat Gorge offers the most iconic view of the castle. Reachable in 25 minutes on foot from the castle or 15 minutes from the upper shuttle stop. Closed in case of ice.
Across the valley, Ludwig's childhood yellow castle preserves original furniture and frescoes. Easily combined with a combo ticket.
For a different perspective, the Tegelbergbahn ascends to 1,720 m with views of the castles, Lake Alpsee, and the Bavarian plain.
